Ireland is a great place and that you are doing internship there, you are set to have the best time. Waiting for more post on especially internship in the Housekeeping department (I know it is very challenging-have to be really humble to get through well)

I trained at a local community college's culinary school, and they taught from the Cordon Bleu, and I really enjoyed learing about French cooking, but then I noticed that to become a true chef in French cuisine, I had to travel to France, then I noticed Glion as wonderful opportunity to advance my studies in travel and hospitality, and really just wanted to live in Switzerland. But to do this I needed to learn French, so I found this really inexpensive course from the Foreign Service Institute, $20, and am now into my 2nd month of studying, so by the fall semester, I'll be ready to enjoy all Switzerland and France have to offer. I understand the Swiss also speak a form of German, but so far I only saw a Pimsleur course for that, and didn't want to pay $95 bucks for 5 hours of material, when the Foreign Service Institute course is over 70 hours of material, at a fifth the cost.

Dear Nesli,
Thank you for your comment.
If you would like to prepare for the calculations, you should just practice basic mathematics, such as percentages for instance. Furthermore if you want to learn ahead a little bit, you could look at occupancy forecasts or linen par stocks for example.
Hope I could help!
With kind regards,
Lea

Hello Gabriela!
Thank you for your comment.
There are a lot of reasons which led to choosing Glion. First of all it is a hotel school, which has an excellent reputation worldwide and therefore also has a lot of connections to the industry. In fact Glion ranks amongst the top three hotel schools in the world, which is something that I definitely found attractive. Furthermore I love the cultural variety, which is presented on campus, as there are about 100 nationalities represented here, which is always a great attribute. Other than that I personally found the curriculum very interesting, as I find that it offers a good combination of theoretical knowledge, as well as practical one and I can honestly say that I have already learned very much. I would also like to tell you that I was also very scared before coming to Glion, but that this fear disappears instantly, when you arrive at campus, because you are welcomed and introduced to Glion in a very warm way. Regarding your other question, I can confirm that there is no curfew.
I hope that this could help you a bit and please do not hesitate to ask any other questions you might have!!
With warm regards,
Lea Rettig
